Lucent Water. and U.S. Navy Team Up
Pronghorn Technologies, LLC announced the ongoing collaboration and evaluation of its Total Residual Oxidant (TRO) Marine Sensors aboard the US Navy’s USS Anchorage (LPD 23), one of the most advanced newly commissioned ships in the fleet.
News
The Navy and select companies seek a more accurate and reliable method of monitoring oxidant treatment levels to ensure effluent discharge compliance and improve efficiency.
The TRO Marine™ Sensor System is a self-cleaning and self-maintaining chlorine/bromine measuring device that features a “hot-tap” design for direct in-line insertion into the seawater flow, eliminating costly sample flow lines and drains used by competing technologies.
The system is designed to automate critical water disinfection systems, prolonging the life of expensive equipment, and simultaneously protecting marine ecosystems from excessive chlorine discharge and invasive species.
